This work explores the role of women's emotional and intellectual labour in household maintenance and the dynamics of household chores. Women often take on multiple roles including employee, mother, housemaker, among others and there is significant pressure to strive for perfection as well as the "professionalism" that women bring to these roles. As men take on more household responsibilities, I am interested in the labour of organizing, timetabling, sorting, and monitoring work within the household, and how gender dynamics play a factor in this work.
